Conclusion and Editing

I have been working on the conclusion of the book.  I think that it is coming together well.  When I first began writing, I was not sure if I would know where to finish.  But now that I am  getting close, I feel good about it.

Danielle read my manuscript a couple of months ago when I had about 75% of written.  I was a little nervous about handing it over to her.  I knew that she would be encouraging, but still I did not know if what I was writing would be appealing to anyone else.

She was encouraging while giving some helpful feedback on some of the chapters.  I have made edits to most of them, but I still have a couple that I want to go back and work on.

I have also asked a couple of people who work for Arrow to read the manuscript when I am finished.  I want to get feedback from someone who is working with other foster and adoptive families.

I am sure that I will  feel a little apprehensive when I let someone else read it, just like I did when Danielle first read what I had written.  But, I know if I want to become good at writing, I need to get feedback from people that I trust.
